The Worth It Series: Testing Nizoral On My Face

Struggling with colourless bumps on your skin? Have you tried all the drugstore products and nothing seems to work? Well, it may be because it's not really acne and has something to do with 'Pityrosporum folliculitis'.

Nizoral is an anti-dandruff shampoo which contains ketoconazole (it is anti-fungal and reduces sebum production). After seeing myriads of videos, reading blogs about this miraculous product, I decided to give it a try. I swear I'm not bonkers but, by using a shampoo on my face indicates an all together different message. Anything for clear skin is my motto. Yes, I did mention about that very big word starting with p which are caused by an overgrowth of yeast. Those bumps that are caused by it have an itching sensation. A massive thank you to them for making me feel so flipping insecure by the way. Without further ado, lets jump into the results and how to use it.

Just a disclaimer, it might not work for everyone. Fingers crossed, I hope it works for all of you trying it.

How I used it:

I used it as a mask for 20 minutes on the areas where I had those bumps every night for four weeks. Or you could use it every morning and night for 20 minutes and two weeks. I am a college student and not a morning person so applying mask in the morning is a big no for me. It dries your skin massively so its better to invest in a good moisturizer like Cetaphil or the one I'm using from Johnson's & Johnson's which contains shea butter. Shea butter is a holy grail for your skin due to its anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
